Tired Of Mowing and Lawn Care? Let SK Handle It All This Spring!

Many homeowners have been heading back to the office over the past few months, which means that, unlike the last few years, they won’t be able to mow their lawns and take care of landscape maintenance over their lunch hour. At SK Lawn and Landscape, we planned for this to be the case this year, so we’ve added additional lawn care and landscaping teams to help better serve our customers, both new and old, while they get their lives a little more back to normal.

Lawn Care and Landscape Maintenance in Kansas City, Overland Park, and Prairie Village

Over the years, we’ve learned at SK Lawn and Landscape that no two lawns in the Kansas City area are the same, which means that some may already need their first mow of the season while others may be struggling to get grass to grow. That’s why the lawn care teams at SK always treat each and every customer and their lawns with a customized approach based on what they need as opposed to the work we want to do. For example, yards with older, taller trees often have a tough time growing grass due to the excessive shade and wide dispersal of water when it rains. We take these factors into account when we put together lawn care plans to make sure we are providing optimal services that work so that once spring is in full swing, each and every one of our customers’ yards are growing thick, green, and consistent. For patchy lawns, our lawn care teams determine to either add new seed or install sod depending on how and where the lawn’s drainage channels are flowing. Obviously, we don’t want to add grass seed that will wash away during the next rain event, which is more common than ever in the spring, and is why they may opt to add sod which is much more resilient to washing away in heavy downpours.

Struggling lawns will often need a fertilizer boost in the spring in addition to being susceptible to weed infestation, which is why our lawn care teams can add weed and feed as well as pre-emergent treatments to ensure the grass gets the much-needed nutrients it needs to grow while keeping invasive noxious weeds at bay. Once we’ve established a healthy, vibrant lawn, it’s time for mowing, and our lawn care teams do it better than anyone else. We clean up any clippings and make sure your lawn is edged flawlessly each and every time we set foot in your yard.

We suspect that with warmer temperatures on the way this weekend and the abundant rain we’ve seen this week that next week will be prime mowing and lawn care time, so give us a call and get on our schedule before we fill up for the season.
